Changes to the 41 Bus timetable

The Parish Council have received the following communication from Milton Keynes City Council:

"Stagecoach East have registered an extended timetable to take effect from Monday 5th June. The revised service will operate every two hours each way between Bedford and Northampton, via Olney and Yardley Hastings, Monday to Saturday, with a slightly enhanced frequency across the morning peak. Details of the new timetable are expected to be published by Stagecoach very shortly.

However, the sustainability of this service appears to be dependent on Stagecoach East securing additional funding.

As far as Milton Keynes City Council is concerned, a financial package has been proposed, which will provide support to operators covering a number of services that serve Milton Keynes UA. Support for the extension of Stagecoach service 41 provision from Olney towards Bedford and Northampton is included. This proposal is going through a Delegated Decision process, which is expected to conclude by the end of this month. We would expect the financial package to enable Stagecoach to sustain the revised timetable longer term."
